…. and I live in Brighton with my husband and two fluffy Lhasa Apso dogs (if you don’t know what a Lhasa Apso is think furry cushion with four legs) Molly and Marmite.
I started running when I was 19 with my mum as an absolute beginner, my target was to run a mile. At the time I lived with my mum and one mile was to a pub called the half brick and back, and no we did not go in the pub for a break. Over time we built up our stamina to get to 4 miles and as we were just doing it to keep fit we left it there, running 4 miles a couple of times a week (except if it was too windy or raining, we are girls not grey hounds).
I am now 27 and this year we both did the Race For Life 10k, I did not enjoy the organised aspect to it but I did enjoy having a goal and pushing to see how far I could go.
With this in mind I have now signed up to do the Brighton Half Marathon, and that’s when this blog all started. I wanted to track my progress, share my experience and if I do learn anything let you all know (please don’t expect to much, I might not learn anything).
So stay with me to follow my ups and downs, my highs and lows and probably laugh when I do fall over…. in the street… on my bum…in a puddle, its only a matter of time.
